This podcast! So I’m a lover of all things true crime and I discovered this podcast a few months back. It filled a true crime void I didn’t know I was missing. The hosts, Ashley and Britt, are amazing storytellers. I don’t know if it’s their voices, their friendship, their passion for true crime, or a combination of all of these things, but they keep me coming back for more every week. I even joined their Patreon so that I am able to get more content. They release a new episode every Monday morning and it’s typically either a missing person case, murder case, mysterious death. The episodes are typically between 35-40 minutes long (perfect for my commutes into work!) and will have you on the edge of your seat. Ashley does most of the research for the cases and she really digs deep to give us the most cohesive, in-depth look at the cases. It’s not new information, they don’t conduct their own investigations, but she compiles all of the information that is out there and creates one comprehensive episode to lay out all the facts. On their main podcast they typically cover cases that are not super well-known, as they like to bring attention to cases that maybe did not get all the media attention that some other cases, such as OJ Simpson, JonBenet Ramsey, etc. As a true crime junkie I love hearing about less-known cases that I haven’t seen or read about a million times before. If you do want to hear about some well-known cases though, they do cover some form time to time on their extra podcast which can be found on their Patreon. Crime Junkies was actually named one of the best true crime podcasts of 2018 by Rolling Stone magazine! Click the images below for the Crime Junkies website and Rolling Stone article.
